In very simple terms humanity can be defined as comprising two distinct Kingdoms ... LIGHT and DARK! The Psalmist takes great efforts to highlight these competing Kingdoms and does so by relaying the unified message from Scriptures (Tanak + B''rit Chadasha) ... the message being Faith + Covenantal submission. The light to the Nations has and always is the charge given to Israel for the purpose of enabling the grafting in of Gentiles to Kingdom Israel. Any notions that somehow YESHUAH did away with Israel ... or created a new religion should be tossed aside. The Psalmist's message is clear: Jacob needs to see and accept Messiah YESHUAH and the Gentile needs to see and accept the everlasting covenant. The goal is Kingdom Citizenship ... the goal is Holy Service ... the goal is one people with Torah on the heart through grace and the Spirit of THE SON ... THE KING of KINGDOM Israel!
